The natural areas in Sicily that are perfect for mountain biking tours include the regional parks around the Etna volcano, the Nebrodi mountains, the Madonie mountains, the Peloritani mountains, the Iblei highlands, the Central highlands, the Sicani mountains, the mountains around Palermo, the Zingaro natural reserve, and the coasts. kstoerzDurango Parks and Recreation Advisory Board took a decision to expand the Animas River Trail north from its present terminus at Memorial Park. The Board Members wanted to discuss all their options for the routes. There has been a debate since 2008 about whether the river trail would follow the east or west side of the railroad tracks.
The river trail would continue north along the railroad tracks from the Demon Bridge behind the La Plata County Fairgrounds if the board agrees with the city staff's recommendation. The route is likely to cost $9.38 million, not including property- and easement-acquisition costs.
A study session will be conducted by the board at 5 PM on June 13th at the Durango Community Recreation Center. This session will discuss all the alternatives and make a route recommendation.

echiner1The Alta Maremma Toscana, one of Italy's best mountain biking vacation trails, is very well-known due to its amazing uphill and downhill tracks and the scenic views along the way. The trails are not stringent and one can adjust their lengths depending on the biker's taste.
One such trail is the Monte Di Prata, which is an uphill trail that is steep and which offers one a great view of the entire Maremma Toscana. Then, there is the Cornate trail wherein one has to mountain climb two summits, namely, the Ritrovoli and Le Cornate. At the end of this trail, one can rest and eat by the mines ate Gerfalco. There is also a forest trail which is named after Chiusdino, a medieval age village found at the end of this trail.
Other than these wondrous trails, Toscana offers its bikers other privileged services such as safety, security and comfort services.
